Think on These Things...

I thought this was an appropriate verse, as we prepare ourselves for worship this weekend. Getting ourselves re-focused after the craziness and busyness of our week...

"...Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."
Philippians 4:8 (RSV)

If we would just think on these things with more consistence - how much better the world would be. It's a wonderful verse to always have in the front of your mind - pushing all those negative thoughts right out of the way!
Now I will behave myself and not post this twice like I did the last time!

Oh, wow. I can't quite remember how I found you, except through the chain of Bloggy Awards. I went back to your first posts and am in awe at how similar our paths are.

We are Catholic converts, too. I was raised Atheist, born again at 22, filled with Holy Ghost and spent years in Assembly of God and non-demoninational churches, moved to Pensacola in 1996 to attend the Brownsville Revival.

But by 2000, I began asking God those dangerous questions. Like, "how is it so many sincere preachers have opposing interpretations of Your Word and are SURE You have showed them the only right way?"

Anyway, it is SO good to find you. Frankly, your blog is much more meaty spiritually than mine. So I will be visiting you daily!
