New Update

I don't really have much new to tell you on Fr. Joe's condition. He is slowly making very small improvements. He is still considered in critical, but stable condition. Thank you for your continued prayers. He has a long road to recovery ahead of him. Please pray for our parish, too. As you can imagine, this is difficult for all of us.

We had a prayer service for him last Thursday. We are having another one this Thursday, June 4, at 8:30 p.m. EDT. Please join us in praying!

Thanks again for all your prayers and words of encouragement.

Went to a healing Mass tonight and Fr. John said we can pray for others as well as receive the sacrament.

Does Fr. Joe know how many people are praying for him? It would help him heal even faster!

We actually had a photographer take pictures at the prayer service last week, so he could see for himself how many people were praying. She even took pictures of the prayer request book in the chapel, so he could see how many people have mentioned him for their intentions.

Journey Struggles

Over the past few weeks, I have been reading a forum which deals with issues in the church with which we were formerly affiliated. I won't go into detail. What I will say though, is that there are a lot of hurting people out there who need your prayers. What does this have to do with me personally? A lot of those people are my friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ. There is this "thing" inside me that can't stand it when those I care about are mistreated, lied to, or in some other way wronged. It's that part of me that wants vengeance . Wow. Did I use that word? But it's true. I want the erring party to repent, yes. But I also want to see them do some groveling and major "making of things right".
