Just a Short Monday Post...


Feeling a bit under the weather today (and our weather is COLD!). But I had to let you all know our family's news. I am going to be an aunt again! Our sister-in-law is expecting her third child in late August!

congrats on the new baby..always fun! BTW enjoyed your last two posts..the quote is cool and the post on spiritual prostitution...awesome! My hubby once preached a sermon titled "Is not the Son enough?" It made such waves through our congregation that today, some 15 yrs later they still speak of it. I know it impacted me...I say "Amen and amen...the Son IS enough!"

Journey Struggles

Over the past few weeks, I have been reading a forum which deals with issues in the church with which we were formerly affiliated. I won't go into detail. What I will say though, is that there are a lot of hurting people out there who need your prayers. What does this have to do with me personally? A lot of those people are my friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ. There is this "thing" inside me that can't stand it when those I care about are mistreated, lied to, or in some other way wronged. It's that part of me that wants vengeance . Wow. Did I use that word? But it's true. I want the erring party to repent, yes. But I also want to see them do some groveling and major "making of things right". The journey began as a child, in my heart desiring to "know Jesus"...it continued as I sought to know Him more, to live for Him...it went along as I followed His call on my life...as I married, and had kids...as we ministered in various ways and places...
